On Thursday, 3rd October students from TY visited the Dropbox offices on Hatch Street, Dublin 2. They were invited by CWIT (Connecting Women in Technology) to experience work-life in a high-tech company and to listen to presentations from Dropbox employees about their career paths. Earlier this year, many Stratford students and staff walked to Dáil Éireann on the Greta Thunberg-inspired Climate Change marches that happened all around the world. Friday, 20th September proved to be another day of marching by Stratford students and staff, organised so ably by Green Schools.

Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year. It is celebrated on the first day of the Jewish month of Tishrei. On Wednesday morning, 25th September, there was an assembly hosted by the Jewish Studies students and Rabbi Lent who spent time explaining the importance of the Jewish New Year holidays. Mrs Walsh explains further.

The 2019 Shortlist of Junior and Senior books for the Great Reads Awardwas announced in September. Set up in 2016 by a group of Irish School Librarians this is a yearly award where students read the books, rate them and the award-winning authors (at Junior and Senior level) emerge! The deadline is early January 2020.
