Great Reads Award 2021 - Get reading

The Schools Libraries Group of the Library Association have selected this year's Great Reads Award books for Juniors and Seniors. The two shortlists are of the best debut Young Adult novels for 2021. The winners will be chosen by second level students in Ireland. For now read as many books on the shortlist as you can!

Students received the latest Year Book (2019-2021) on the first day back in school! It's now available on the school website.

One Dublin One Book: "Leonard and Hungry Paul" by Rónán Hession

Dublin City Council invites people all over the city to take part in the annual One Dublin One Book campaign by reading the same book during the month of April. This year’s chosen title for One Dublin One Book, is "Leonard and Hungry Paul" by Rónán Hession (Bluemoose Books).

Books to make you Smile! World Book Night, 23rd April 2021

World Book Night is the annual celebration on 23 April that aims to inspire everyone to pick up a book and share the joy of reading. It is a key part of The Reading Agency's mission to support everyone in reading their way to a better life and using the proven power of reading to promote skills and learning, health and wellbeing, and build connected communities.

Decade of Commemorations: Dublin City Council donate "History on your Doorstep" book

Dublin City Council donated a box of the book History on Your Doorstep (Volume 3) – Bloody Sunday as part of the Decade of Commemorations to Stratford's History department in early December.

Young Adult Book Festival 2020 goes digital this year!

The Young Adult Book Fest is Ireland’s largest arts festival for teenagers. This 3 day virtual festival will run from November 24th to 26th and can be accessed daily on our new and exciting website YABookFest@Listowel.
