World Book Day - Thursday, 4th March

Wbd 2021
NEWS / 2 March 2021

Thursday, 4th March is World Book Day! It continues on from Ireland Reads - Ireland's new national day to celebrate reading - on Thursday, 25th February.

The TY's are organising online events to celebrate World Book Day - not quite the same as our annual book sale and Booky Breakfast - however all these events can be done in a slightly different way from home.

St Michael's House have come up with an idea to #PassTheBook. Instead of a Book Swap sale, get a book you're okay about giving away, put it in an envelope and post it to someone you know.

Thursday morning, TY's are encouraging everyone to make their own smoothie and have it at 11am as you chat about what book you're reading.

On Friday, 5th March at 10:30am there's a live event on YouTube: "Books and the Real World" hosted by Jessie Cave.

Enjoy!
