Congratulations Ayush Tambde!! Best Individual Project 2023! And to our two 3rd Year Young Scientist Finalists!

Ayush Tambde, aged 17 and in sixth year in Stratford College won the prize for Best Individual, with his project, 'Analysis of single-cell proteomic data to understand the mechanisms of oncogenic transformation and how to control them'. 

Ayush also won the Horizon Student Award for the best overall Biological and Ecological project.

3 Stratford students, 3 projects in the 2023 BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition

This year Stratford College has three students who will be competing with their individual projects in the 2023 BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition from Wednesday 11th January to Saturday 14th January. This is a fantastic achievement!

TY's organise the Annual Winter Quiz

The TYs put in a huge effort for this year's end-of-term Annual Quiz - from dressing up, to acting out scenarios, to broadcasting over Teams, using Excel spreadsheets to calculate the scores and putting together all the questions in the first place!

Bebras Challenge

TY's showcase their video at Concern's Agent of Change event

On Friday, 6th May the TY's attended the Agent of Change event organised by Concern as part of their Speak Act Do campaign.

Congratulations to TY student, Luke, who entered an Irish competition to find the next Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh and won an award at Croke Park on Wednesday, 4th May!

TY's awarded 6 prizes for coding projects at SciFest@College!

Congratulations to the three TY SciFest@College groups who won 6 prizes between them for their coding projects on Wednesday, 4th May in TU Dublin Blanchardstown. A phenomenal achievement!

TY's participate in Trinity College Computer Science research project: Pytch.org

Since January, TY students have been transitioning from coding in Scratch to coding in Python in Computer Studies classes. The TY's were invited to participate in a Trinity College Dublin Computer Science research project using a learning tool called pytch.org. This tool is purposely built to help students move from coding in Scratch to coding in Python.

Stratford focus on understanding Big Data for Safer Internet Day: 8th February 2022

Big Data - this year in Computer Studies classes all students from 1st year to 6th Year learned to understand what information is gathered by companies and organisations.
