SciFest@Stratford - first time in Ireland Scratch programming projects featured

On Tuesday, 29th April, Stratford College hosted its first-ever SciFest@Stratford. A SciFest is like a mini 'Young Scientist' competition but held in the school itself. Lots of students can enter a SciFest and the rest of the school gets to see their work too. External SciFest judges visit the school to choose the prizewinners.

Good meets Bad: How a Scratch project was designed

This year TY students all had to take a module in Programming using Scratch as the means to learning how to do this. Fiona Maguire and Carmel Grey describe in brief how they created their Scratch project which was presented to the SciFest@Stratford judges on Tuesday, 29th April.
