The HETI Crocus Project: TYs plant yellow crocus bulbs

In November the TY's planted yellow crocus bulbs as part of The Crocus Project run by HETI (Holocaust Education Ireland). 

History Research for Schools Day @ The Royal Irish Academy

5th & 6th Year History Students  attended the Royal Irish Academy workshop with Ms Kenny and Ms Talbot on Thursday 5th October to support their research skills in this subject.

Two students win awards for The Mary Elmes Prize in TY Holocaust Studies

Congratulations to TY students (2022-2023), Kishaylin Reddy who received 1st Prize in the Art Category  and to Stephen O'Reilly who received 2nd Prize in the Music Category of The Mary Elmes Prize in Holocaust Studies.

3rd Year Classics & History students visit Ely's Arch

On Wednesday, 17th May, Ms Kenny and Ms Donohoe brought the 3rd Years to Ely's Arch for a Roman picnic and some games of trigon. Ely's Arch was the original entrance to Rathfarnham Castle.

2nd Year Classics CBA Fair

On Friday, 12th May there was a massive buzz in the hall as the 2nd years presented their CBA's to 1st Years and to 6th Year Classics students (who were judging them).

TY students are the guides on the Neoclassical walking tour of Dublin

On the 27th of April, all of TY and Ms. Caspi headed on our annual Neoclassical walking tour of Dublin. Students were divided into teams a month in advance to research a specific building and act as guide on the day.

Stratfords's Classics students excel in Ides of March quiz

Congratulations to the 16 students who competed in the Ides of March Quiz on the 25th of April in Blackrock College at 7pm. This was the return of the quiz after Covid. The last quiz was in 2020. 62 teams entered and Stratford came a very impressive 6th and 7th in the competition!

Lives Illuminated: A Joint TY 2023 Jewish Arts Culture Ireland (JACI) project

Jewish Arts and Culture Ireland (JACI) delivered a varied and unique programme to TY students covering a range of artforms and aspects of culture including poetry, literature, language, oral history, music, visual art, and heritage.

Leaving Cert Classics students attend a Leaving Cert lecture day in UCD

On 25th of March, 5th and 6th year Classics students attended a Leaving Cert lecture day in UCD. They attended seven 30 minute lectures on different topics related to the new Leaving Cert Classical Studies specification.
