Congratulations to 1st Year Computer Studies students - Yair, Liam and Giorgi - who made it to the ECO-UNESCO 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals held on 12th May with their Scratch coding project called "Giorgi the Litter Fighter". This is the first time that a Stratford project has made it to the finals - so very impressive work!
Their project competed in the Junior Waste category and the game is to encourage users to pick up litter so that they understand more about how they can reuse some materials and clean the environment along the way.
Thanks too, to the 1st years who came to support them - Kate, Calvin, Roi, Shachar, Hannah, Andrew, Saoirse, Ellen and Leon! We all saw very inspiring projects, danced to Donking during the Awards Prizegiving ceremony and spent a lot of time on the electric bikes. Roi is definitely the king of cycling! Thanks too, to Mr Barrett and Ms Scharov who gave their support to Liam, Yair and Giorgi.
Fantastic work by all the 1st years, where five groups made it to the YEA Eco-dens semi-finals in March.

In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.
