6th Year wins Best Animation Award & Highly Commended Storytelling Award at Fresh Film Festival 2021

Congratulations to Nellie Warren who won two awards at the Fresh Film Festival on Friday, 26th March for her short film 'buachaill'! Nellie won the Cartoon Saloon Award for Best Animation and the Highly Commended Storytelling Award for 'buachaill'.

Based on a true story. Over the years, a young girl named Kit is repeatedly mistaken for a boy. Written, directed and animated by Nellie Warren. Editing and sound also by Nellie Warren. This film was animated entirely using FIipanim. It was edited using iMovie. Thanks too to some of the 6th years who were part of the cast.

Congratulations too, to Jonah Miller (TY) who's film "There is no I in Team" also made it to the Fresh Film Festival finals.

Stratford reach the 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals in RDS for the first time

Congratulations to 1st Year Computer Studies students - Yair, Liam and Giorgi - who made it to the ECO-UNESCO 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals held on 12th May with their Scratch coding project called "Giorgi the Litter Fighter". This is the first time that a Stratford project has made it to the finals - so very impressive work!
