NEWS / 3 March 2017

World Book Day 2017 - Thursday, 2nd March - started off on a high note when it was announced that Stratford College was one of the runners up in the annual World Book Day Award competition. 76,000 students from all over England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland took part in the competition, so an award to be very proud of.

Stratford College was awarded a Runners Up prize in the World Book Day Award 2017. Prizewinners were announced on World Book Day, Thursday, 2nd March. Stratford College was the only school from the Republic of Ireland to win a prize. Stratford received a signed copy of Oliver Jeffers' book "A Child of Books".

The whole school was involved in this project which was created and produced throughout November. Many thanks to the TYs who created the film and who brainstormed the ideas around the competition's theme - "World of Stories". Also many thanks to Ms Mahon who facilitated the art work during her Art classes.
