On Monday 2nd December the TYs, 5th and 6th Year Computer Science students visited Microsoft Dream Space with Ms O'Kelly and Ms Maxwell.
First we went of a tour of the Microsoft offices which are designed like an island. We ended up on the roof overlooking an amazing view of Leopardstown racecourse, Killiney Hill and sweeping down to Bray Head. Amanda and Lorraine explained all the types of roles and careers that are possible in a tech company such as Microsoft. Students asked excellent questions.
Back in the Dream Space area students were split into groups and were given 30 minutes to do a cyber-security 6-task challenge. Well done to Soma (5th Year) and Rose (TY) who completed all of the challenges and were the outright winners!
The final task involved coding the sphero's to follow a route outlined with masking tape. There were sphero's everywhere at times.
