NEWS / 19 April 2016

On Thursday, 14th April Ms Donohoe and Ms Finnegan organised the annual TY Mini Olympics with a variety of Classical sports included in the competition.

We learnt about sports in other subjects like Classics when Ms Donohoe and Ms Finnegan organised a Classics themed Olympic tournament. The class went head to head representing their home towns in classic Olympic Games like javelin, sprints and the weighted sprints. We raced with weights to imitate the races they had in the original Olympics, where they wore their armour as they raced. We ended that day off with Alex and Lara being crowned the champions.
