TY Maths students and Leaving Certificate Geography students participated in a field trip to Kippure on Wednesday, 1st November. It was a beautiful crisp day for the field trip and students explored the environment from both a geographical and mathematical point of view.
TY students participated in a Maths/Geography field trip to Kippure along with 5th and 6th year geography students who were participating in their geography field trip study.
They enjoyed experiments in a V-shaped valley such as finding the velocity of a river and it's depth, investigating the gradiant of the valley using clinometers and the shape and types of rock in a section of the river.

As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.
