Safer Internet Day 2021: Tuesday 9th February

This year’s Safer Internet Day (SID) celebrations will take place on Tuesday, 9th February 2021. The campaign’s slogan, “Together for a better internet”, is a call to action for everyone to join together and play their part in creating a better internet for everyone, and especially for younger users.

It is promoted in Ireland by the PDST Technology in Education and Webwise.

Webwise has a series of Youth videos exploring how young people use social media to connect to each other.

Switcher.ie has created a comprehensive guide on How to keep children safe online it includes things like:

  • How to reduce the risks online
  • Cyber bullying and Grooming
  • How to educate children on cyber safety
  • How to set up parental controls on devices

According to recent research, cyber bullying has been on the rise during the pandemic with 28% of children falling victim to it.

Hello to First Year 2024!

Hello to First Year 2024!

We welcomed our incoming First Years (2024) for a special visit and school orientation session today. With our current First Years on hand to guide and support, it was a fun filled few hours where everyone got to know each other, play games, meet teachers, learn about life in Stratford and find their way around their soon to be new school.

It was a delight to meet everyone and roll on September!!
