2nd Year English students win Creative Schools Award 2016
Stratford College has won a top award at this year's National Creative School's Competition 2016, hosted by the Association for Creativity and Arts in Education. The award was presented to our second year students on Tuesday, May 31st, by Sile Seoighe, at the Ark Cultural Centre, in Temple Bar, Dublin. The students were highly commended for their TV advertisements.

Victoria Young (3rd Year) wins Ballet Scholarship to Perm State Ballet Academy
Congratulations to Victoria Young (3rd Year) who in Spring 2016 won a Ballet Scholarship to the Perm State Ballet Academy in Russia, starting in August 2016. Currently Victoria is with the Monica Loughman Elite Ballet company.
Victoria and three others from the Monica Loughman Elite Ballet company performed live on The Late Late Show on Friday, 20th May 2016.

2nd Year CSPE class win Thomas F. Meagher Foundation Scholarship
On Monday, 16th May 2016, Ms. Kenny and a representative group of 2nd Year CSPE students attended an awards ceremony in the Oireachtas Members Restaurant where they were presented with an award for their Flag Week video. In April, the 2nd Year CSPE students entered the Flag Week competition organised by the Thomas F. Meagher Foundation. Congratulations to all the 2nd year students on this excellent achievement.

TY student, Cormac Kelly, published in The Irish Times ‘Fighting Words’ Supplement
Congratulations to Cormac Kelly who's short story "A Road to Izmir" was published in the 'Fighting Words' supplement on Wednesday, 11th May 2016. The supplement which features Young Irish Writing was published by The Irish Times.

Junior/Senior students come joint 2nd in Over 14 Improvisation competition at Feis Maitiu 2016

1st Year Boys Basketball team win their League Final
Congratulations to the 1st Year Boys Basketball team 2015-2016, who beat Kishoge 24-17 in their League Final on Tuesday, 4th May 2016. Well done to their coach, Ms. Finnegan.

Stratford College win annual ‘Ides of March’ Classical Studies Quiz
On Monday, 14th March 2016, Stratford College were awarded 1st place in the annual 'Ides of March' Classical Studies Quiz with a heroic score of 49/50. Members of the winning team were Tim (3rd Year), Anna (3rd Year), Oscar (5th Year) and Rory (6th Year). 36 teams were entered in the quiz. Well done to this team and the other Stratford teams.
