Stratford College selected as a Phase 1 school for Leaving Certificate Computer Science

Stratford College has been selected to be one of the 40 Phase 1 schools to be part of the phased introduction of Computer Science as a subject in the Leaving Certificate. Being a Phase 1 school means that Leaving Certificate Computer Science will be introduced to Stratford College 5th Year students starting September 2018. These students will sit Computer Science in the Leaving Certificate State Examinations in June 2020.

Three 5th Year students receive their Bronze An Gaisce Awards

5th Year students, Sam, Charlie and Eoin, were awarded their Bronze An Gaisce Awards at the end of November 2017.

2nd Year Stratford student reaches semi-finals of Junior Eurovision Eire 2017 with her own composition

Congratulations to 2nd Year student Olivia Foley who reached the semi-finals of TG4's Junior Eurovision Eire competition with a song she composed herself. The competition was filmed and broadcast in November 2017.

Stratford College: Model School for Green Schools 2017

Stratford College Green Schools Committee was awarded the honour of being a Model School for Green Schools 2017. One of the benefits of this honour is that Stratford College hosted the Green Schools Annual Water Forum on the 18th October, 2017.

Green Schools awarded third Green Flag for Water

On 4th May 2017, the Green Schools committee were awarded with Stratford's third Green Flag. The third Green Flag is for water. Congratulations to all concerned and to all the hard work that they put in to achieve this flag.

Congratulations to Oonagh and Senan Delargy who were selected as the 2017 Regional Winners of the Green-Schools Ambassador Programme for the Leinster Region on 24th April 2017.

Ides of March Classical Studies Quiz: Stratford College in the top 3 for the fourth year in a row

On 21st March the annual Classical Studies inter-school quiz took place. This year 26 teams competed. Teams came from schools all over Ireland. Once again Stratford students received a prize. This year Stratford came third with a great score of 40/50 questions correct.

World Book Day Award 2017: Stratford College awarded Runners Up prize

Stratford College was awarded a Runners Up prize in the World Book Day Award 2017. Prizewinners were announced on World Book Day, Thursday, 2nd March. Stratford College was the only school from the Republic of Ireland to win a prize. Stratford received a signed copy of Oliver Jeffers' book "A Child of Books".
