At our whole school assembly on Monday 4th December, our Principal Patricia Gordon and Deputy Principal, Delia Donohoe talked about allyship and how we can be better allies to each other in our community and in our classroom.

Allyship means listening to other people’s experiences and appreciating their diverse perspectives. Having a strong sense of allyship helps create a more empathetic and considerate school community. It also demands action of us – doing good in our community, and in our classroom.

Ally is a verb – stand up and show up for each other!

As we look forward to celebrating the raising of our new Cinealtas (kindness) flag, we reflect together on the values of our school - tolerance, respect, caring and kindness – and their importance in our daily lives.
