NEWS / 1 March 2019

Throughout January and February the TY Science students have been working extremely hard preparing their Science projects for their second SciFest@Schools competition. The competition was held on Thursday, 28th February.

The range and depth of Science projects  - both Life Sciences and Physical Sciences - proved really interesting. How important is sleep for hand-eye co-ordination? The making of crystals? to name a couple.

Congratulations to Alexey, Jeremy and Josh for coming 1st place. In 2nd place was Nellie, Eva and Jools. Both these groups, along with the TY Technology winning group (Siuin, Rebecca and Valery) will be competing at the SciFest@Colleges competition hosted by TU Blanchardstown on Wednesday, 8th May.

"SciFest was an incredible and fulfilling experience that taught us how to design, plan and carry out an investigation to a high standard." Jeremy, TY
