For the first Friday that we started our archaeology we went in to town for a walking tour of Dublin Castle. Aisling Collins, our Archaeology teacher, taught us how to excavate an area under water and on card. For the next week we visited St. Michan's Church in town. We got to go down to a cellar and see the preserved bodies. We were told that due to the air in the cellar these bodies could be preserved well.
For the second last week of archaeology we went to the National History Museum and looked at the bog bodies that were preserved many years ago. This gave us an indication of how people lived many years ago. For the last week we went back to the National History Museum to look at information about the Vikings and Egyptians.
