On the eve of the 100th anniversary to the date of the 1916 Rising, the TY students visited the newly opened GPO Witness History Exhibition on Friday, 22nd April 2016.
On Friday, 22nd April, the TY students visited the GPO Witness History Exhibition. Greeted by an Irish Volunteer, students were brought downstairs to a really interesting array of artefacts, interactive exhibits and a 15 minute 3D film of the reanactment of events in and around the GPO during the days that followed the Rising which started on Easter Monday, 24th April 1916.
On the bus back to school, students when asked to describe the exhibition in one word decided on "interactive"!

In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.
