Ms. Reynolds explains what the TY English class were doing standing on the roof of Stratford on 9th January.

In early January, the TY students were asked to recreate the scene from the roof of Stratford College. The task entailed picking a scene and describing it with as much precision as possible. The focus was on colour, texture, light and naming. Some wonderfully imaginative pieces were created. Then they had to mould it around the Wordsworth poem 'To My Sister'. This required them to emulate the ballad rhythm and abab rhyming scheme. There was great diversity in their replies.

'It is the first mild mild day of March
Each minute sweeter than before'
To My Sister
