TY English student script, film and produce their own film

In March our TY students engaged in the creative exercise of Film Making. We watched award winning short films from the Irish Film Centre and films that previous TY students had made. The next stage was a creative writing class around the process of writing for the screen. Ethan wrote the class favourite, an intriguing short film, called 'The Case'. Turlough, our expert graphic illustrator, was chosen to design the storyboards. Jorden was chosen as the Cinematographer; her expertise brought a heightened professionalism to the production. Lastly: Sadhbh, Joy, Turlough, and Tim were selected as the actors due to their highly accomplished acting debut during the TY production of 'Blood Brothers'. The smooth process of peer and self assessment demonstrated how these skills had been embedded during their TY year. I hope you enjoy their thrilling short film.
