Three Senior Students to participate in an IBM course on Introduction to Quantum Computing with lectures from MIT, Boston and Cambridge University.

Congratulations to Zack Musumeci (6th Year), Mia Quirke (5th Year) and Josh Wynne (5th Year) who have been accepted onto an IBM course on Introduction to Quantum Computing with lectures from MIT, Boston and Oxford University.

IBM will sponsor up to 5,000 students globally to participate in an intensive eight-month Introduction to Quantum Computing online course. Accepted students will take a full-year course called “Qubit by Qubit’s Introduction to Quantum Computing” from October 2020 to May 2021, consisting of live lectures, labs, and problem sets. The course is targeted toward high school students and above with no prior quantum computing experience, and will be taught live by MIT and Oxford quantum scientists. Each lecture is two-hours long: an hour of theory and an hour tutorial walking through practice problems.
