The Crocus Project - TY students plant yellow crocus bulbs

Crocus Project TY 2024 1
NEWS / 22 November 2024

Transition Year students planted yellow crocus bulbs this autumn in memory of one and a half million Jewish children who were murdered in the Holocaust and thousands of other children who were victims of Nazi atrocities. (Holocaust Education Ireland provided the crocus bulbs).

This project is part of the TY History and Holocaust Education module. It teaches students about the Holocaust and raises awareness about the dangers of prejudice, discrimination and anti-Semitism; reminds students of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the importance of respect and inclusivity in the world today.
