Early on Wednesday morning, 2nd May, a group of 8 TY students and Ms O'Kelly left Stratford to enter into the next round of the SciFest competition - SciFest@College - hosted by IT Blanchardstown.

All the TYs were fully prepared to answer all questions by the judges. Laura, Alan and Kharisma's study on concentration levels between 1 hour classes versus 40 minutes classes proved to be of great interest to the judges. They were awarded 2nd place in the Intermediate category of the Life Sciences strand of projects.

Emma, Nisha and Aidan had not only done detailed work in their study of chewing gum - 'chewing gum or chewing dumb?', but had also created their own hoodies for the day!

Rory and Jack wow'd the judges with their game 'Jump-n-duck' which they had designed and created in Scratch. The design process for their project most impressed the judges and enabled their game to look elegant and well designed from a coding perspective. They were awarded 1st place in the Intermediate category of the Technology strand.

It was a great day for Stratford science and computer science students! Well done to you all!
