NEWS / 4 December 2017

TY CSPE students were extremely excited on Friday, 1st December when they found out that they were the Dublin Winner of the European Parliament's Euroscola 2017 competition. One school from each of the three European constituencies in Ireland was chosen. The prize is a visit to Strasbourg in February!

Well done to the TY CSPE students - Melanija, Sophie, Laura and Ross, with the help of Greg and Adam - who created a brilliant one-minute video to win the Dublin European constituency of the European Parliament's Euroscola competition. One school from each of the three European constituencies in Ireland was chosen. The prize is a visit to Strasbourg in February! There they will experience a day as an MEP, engaging in the EU decision-making process through debates in the hemicycle, negotiations with their colleagues, voting and adopting resolutions on topical European issues.

In this year’s Euroscola competition students were asked to create a one-minute video clip on “Why young people should vote in European Elections”. Thanks to Ms Kenny for organising this competition and the trip to Strasbourg.
