Five Stratford students were lucky enough to get invited to Facebook's European Headquarters in Dublin at the end of April to hear how other schools have set up best practice anti-bullying structures in their schools. 3rd Year student James O'Brien, recounts the day.
Last week, on Tuesday, 26th April, Ms. O'Kelly brought a student from each year to go to a talk in the Facebook HQ in town. Luckily I was invited to go. The talk was about bullying and how it can be stopped. I was very glad to have gone since it was very informational and I was ecstatic since Kodaline and Jedward were there! In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.
