Space Week: Senior Cycle Physics students visit Dunsink Observatory

NEWS / 6 October 2023

On Thursday, 5th October Mr Fennell, Dr Ryan and the 5th and 6th Year Physics students visited Dunsink Observatory in Castleknock as part of Space Week (4th - 10th October).

"We went by coach to Dunsink Observatory. First we went to the South Tower - the smaller building - to see the telescope there. We then moved to the main building where we were told about all the people involved with this work. Near the end we were given laser pointers and mirrors, each of us in small groups tried to reflect the laser onto a target. It was really great!
