On Tuesday, 17th April, Michelle O'Brien, a representative from Irish Osteoporosis Society, came to Stratford to speak senior students about the risks of osteoporosis in the lives of both the young and old. Dispelling rumours that this is an "old woman's" disease, the speaker warned us to maintain a strong bone density in our youth as this will maintain our health in the future. She urged vigilence among young women as eating disorders and over-dieting can affect the health of your bones. All students involved learned something new.
