On Monday, 7th March, the TY Science students were visited by two external judges as part of the SciFest@schools competition. The TYs put in a lot of work in a broad range Iof biodiversity projects, ranging from make-up, the differences between Spanish and Irish life, to monitoring birds in the school biodiversity garden.
Well done to Alannah Anderson and Conor Doheny who were deemed the winners with their "Affirmations and Meditation" project. They will compete in the SciFest@College competition in early May in the Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown.
"It was interesting to do this competition because I'd never done anything like this before". Alannah Anderson
"I got to see different types of chemicals under the microscope when we were working on our makeup project." Gina Cohen
Thanks to the two SciFest judges who spent a considerable time judging each project. Watch a video of the morning created by Ms O'Sullivan!
