Science Week:  TY, 5th and 6th Year Biology students attend Genetics Revolution talk

NEWS / 7 December 2011

Michael Lysaght (6th Year) outlines the talk that Biology students attended about the Genetics Revolution during Science Week 2011.

DNA - GeneticsFor Science Week 2011, a group consisting of the entire 4th Year class, and the 5th and 6th Year Biology students made their way towards the DIT on Kevin Street to attend a lecture on various Biology topics such as blood, cells and genetics.

Despite the distance of the long trek towards our destination, the lecture proved to be very informative and interesting. The students were allowed to go to the cafeteria afterwards to acquire some sustenance before making their way back to school for the remainder of the classes. Overall the lecutre gave the 4th years a good insight to the Biology curriculum and it gave 5th and 6th years a good source of revision.
