Rugby World Cup: Stratford watches Ireland vs Samoa

NEWS / 4 October 2019

Mr Priestley and the newly formed Sports History Club organised a live viewing of the Ireland/Samoa World Cup Rugby match in the hall on Thursday, 3rd October.

Kick off was at 11:15 and Stratford students came in festooned in Irish scarves and green rugby jerseys. Due to the massive demand on the RTE Player it took a while for the WiFi to be sorted out so that the match could be watched without delays - but a number of 3rd Year students sorted it all out!

Students also raised €60 in aid of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland. A great two hours in the hall! And a great victory for Ireland: 47-5.
