“No Reflection” Teen Zone drama workshops in Rathmines Library

NEWS / 20 November 2012

Throughout October and November a number of 2nd Year and TY students attended Rathmines Library for drama workshops using "Dracula" as its theme. Seán Lysaght (TY) explains in detail what was involved.

DraculaThroughout October and November, these acting classes on Thursdays after school in Rathmines Library have been great fun. They have provided us collectively with a simple means of expressing ourselves, whilst teaching us how to display feeling and emotions onstage.

The main focus of our classes have been the spawn of modern vampires - Stoker's chilling classic - Dracula. It tells a psychologically terrifying tale of Mr. Jonathan Harker, discovering step-by-step that his Transylvanian client is a monster of the night.

All in all, these classes have been great fun, the teacher is great and I would recommend them to all.

Rathmines Library hosted the Teen Zone Theatre workshops in conjunction with Margaret Callan Bergin (Garbo Productions) and Dublin City Council's Arts Office.
