Maths Week Activities Oct2018
NEWS / 23 October 2018

Students experienced numeracy thorough many subjects during Maths Week (15th - 19th October 2018).

1st years completed maths puzzles during maths class and went on a "Maths Eyes" walk to discovery how much numeracy is present in the physical world around them.

Ms Mahon encouraged numeracy through Art by making geometric patterns. In Computer Studies classes, students watched a video about Dr. Christine Darden, a mathematics researcher and also one of the 'human computers' who started working in NASA during the 1960's. Students discussed the many barriers that Dr. Darden encountered in her education and working career.
