On Thursday, 10th October, our sixth years used the marketplace technique to revise the plot of 'Macbeth', while preparing for their October exams.

On Thursday, 10th October, our sixth years used the marketplace technique to revise the plot of 'Macbeth', while preparing for their October exams.

The class was divided up into groups were and provided with a section of the play. They had to create a poster with no more than 5 words and ten images and go to the different groups to be taught or to teach (depending on your role). After 5 mins they then had to return to their groups and teach each other what they had learnt.

Managing their learning in this manner really aids their recall: you remember 10% of what you read, 90% of what you teach!
