NEWS / 31 October 2013

During Friendship Week (21st - 25th October), the 2nd Year students were given Friendship bracelets. Ms. Reynolds explains the purpose of Friendship Week - an annual event in Stratford College.

Our second years proudly show off their Friendship bracelets, being worn to promote awareness of Friendship Week (21st - 25th October). Annually we celebrate this week as a part of our anti-bullying policy, various activities are organised to communicate the importance of belonging to a warm and inclusive class group. Also, twice a year, our form teachers sit down in private with each student to ask them questions regarding the atmosphere and interactions within the class group. The results of this sociogram are used to help identify any brewing problems and to resolve them quickly. This restorative model is non accusatory, and the anti-bullying method that is advocated by the most up-to-date Sociological studies at Trinity College.
