To start off another year of Book Club choices, the September Book Club selection "Rose under Fire" by Elizabeth Wein is the follow-up book to the best-selling novel, "Code Name Verity".

To start off another year of Book Club choices, the September Book Club selection "Rose under Fire" by Elizabeth Wein is the follow-up book  to the best-selling novel, "Code Name Verity". Students can borrow the book from the Library, read it at their leisure and then meet up in the Library at lunch-time on Monday, 29th September. 

It's set it World War 2 and as summarised by goodreads.com: "while flying an Allied fighter plane from Paris to England, American ATA pilot and amateur poet, Rose Justice, is captured by the Nazis and sent to Ravensbrück, the notorious women's concentration camp. Trapped in horrific circumstances, Rose finds hope in the impossible through the loyalty, bravery and friendship of her fellow prisoners. But will that be enough to endure the fate that's in store for her?"
