On Monday afternoon, 11th November, the poet Steven Murray visited the school to run a Poetry Slam and workshop. Lots of laughter was heard in the hall!
On Monday afternoon, 11th November, Stephen Murray, Director of Youth Speaks, wowed our students with his linguistic virtuosity. Admirably, he negotiated the whole school in a poetry workshop. This was not a task for the faint hearted, yet he managed it painlessly. The pictures only manage to capture an element of the excitement created through this Poetry Slam. However uncertain of what the ordeal was about to start, I can say honestly that I thoroughly enjoyed Arts Week. A variety of workshops were held, which were intriguing and fun, but one stood out from the rest. My personal favourite was the workshop we had with 'Slam Poet' Steven Murray, alhtough the week as a whole was a great experience to have participated in.

In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
On Thursday 21st May, Ms Donohoe, Ms McGill and the 3rd Year Classics students walked to nearby Ely Arch beside the River Dodder. As part of Junior Cycle Classics, students have to compare a building in their local area with a building in Rome.

As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous (and acrobatic) play! The Teachers came out victorious.
