Arts Week 2013: Poetry Slam with poet Steven Murray

On Monday afternoon, 11th November, Stephen Murray, Director of Youth Speaks, wowed our students with his linguistic virtuosity. Admirably, he negotiated the whole school in a poetry workshop. This was not a task for the faint hearted, yet he managed it painlessly. However uncertain of what the ordeal was about to start, I can say honestly that I thoroughly enjoyed Arts Week. A variety of workshops were held, which were intriguing and fun, but one stood out from the rest. My personal favourite was the workshop we had with 'Slam Poet' Steven Murray, alhtough the week as a whole was a great experience to have participated in.
