I first encountered Johnee last May in Smock Alley during the Dublin Writers' Festival. His theatrical persona, Dylan Thomas like lyrics and Tom Waits's sound had me immediately hooked. I'm delighted to report that our students found this troubador to be utterly mesmerising. His unique mix of theatre, story telling and interactive performance was the perfect way to end an utterly educational and highly inspiring Arts Week. (Click on blog title to see more photos.)

This year's Arts Week was quite inspiring and interesting.
Iwona Giza (5th Year)
Johnee Musician - because I got to be the sea!
Abi Grainger (6th Year)
My favourite things were visiting the Classics Museum in UCD and having Johnnee the singer/songwriter come in to perform.
Tim Cullen (5th Year)
The storyteller on Friday was a very interesting person and as well, entertaining. He involved the crowd and we got a realy understanding of his life in Donegal.
Carly Gresak (5th Year)
I liked when I was in a work shop and it was really good. Johnee was good at telling stories and he was a good singer.
