Our students were introduced to their Shakespearean play, 'Othello', through a series of interactive dramatic workshops. They had to deduce from a range of props the play's key themes, they needed to create their own iambic pentameter quotes emulating Shakespeare, and infer character from dramatic sketches. All of this required the key skill working effectively in groups to produce the desired outcomes. The main element being employed is 'learning with others', as they had to help each other in order to understand and solve problems. (Click on blog title to see more photos.)
'The dramatic workshops were brill, I loved how interactive it was. It gave you a great insight into what was going to happen'. Ruth Somers
