3rd Year CSPE Fun Run in aid of Crosscause

NEWS / 24 March 2011

Alice Murphy (3rd Year) describes the Fun Run organised by the 3rd Year students and held on Friday, 4th March, to raise money and awareness for the charity, Crosscause.

Cross Cause Fun RunOn Friday 4th March,  as part of our CSPE action project for our Junior Certificate, the 3rd years did a fun run in Marlay Park in aid of Crosscause. Crosscause runs an orphanage for orphans with disabilities in Romania. Earlier in the year we invited Connor Hughes, co- founder and Director of Crosscause to come speak to 1st- 4th years. He really inspired us to help and we are still seeking sponsorship! The run consisted of two laps around the outer perimeter of Marley Park- about 5 miles in total. Congratulations to Elan Bondi who came in first, Jonathon Sweeney who came in second and Rory O'Neill and Diarmaid Kelly who came in at joint third place.
