Stratford College is hosting its annual two-day Access Science Investigations days for Primary School Pupils on Tuesday, 2nd June and Wednesday, 3rd June from 10am - 2pm.

Stratford College is hosting its annual two-day Access Science Investigations days for Primary School Pupils on Tuesday, 2nd June and Wednesday, 3rd June from 10am - 2pm.

Investigation Based Activities include:

Physics & Chemistry

  • Basic Electronics (light bulbs, buzzers, switches, etc.)
  • Properties of magnets (iron filings, plotting magnetic field with magnets)
  • Properties of light (prisms, concave & convex mirrors and lenses)

Biology / Chemistry

  • PH testing of everyday substances (acids & bases)
  • Skeleton in lab (looking at the main structures & organs)
  • Fun chemical reaction demonstrations

There will be a rota of experiments (approx. 5) and each will have a 2nd or 5th Year demonstrator. Students will work their way around each stationand do as many experiments as time will allow.
