Ty Ifi Film Festival 20190306 133607
NEWS / 7 March 2019

Congratulations to Eva’s film crew in TY! Eva’s film ‘Pearls’ was screened at the Irish Film Institute regional heats on Wednesday, 6th March during the annual Fresh Film Festival, that awards the Young Filmmaker of the Year.

It has been selected to progress through to the final in Limerick. Eva wrote and directed ‘Pearls’, with Siuin behind the camera, Finn on sound, Zack as editor, with a cast of Nellie, Zack, Eva and past pupil Juno.

‘Pearls’ is a short film that follows protagonist Anna as she stays at her Father’s new house that used to belong to her grandmother. Very soon after she settles in, she begins to realise strange occurrences are happening in the house. These leads her to believe that something sinister may be going on in the house.

Thanks to Cal McGhee, a filmmaker and past pupil for showing the TYs the possibilities of film, and to Ms Reynolds for facilitating the TY film module.
