Tech Week 2017 was celebrated in Computer Studies classes from Monday, 24th April through to Friday, 28th April. Students got a chance to use Virtual Reality (VR) glasses, explore augmented reality (AR), play music using Makey Makey, play Minecraft on Raspberry Pi's, work with our little Ozobot robot and most interestingly type on an old typewriter! TY students visited the exhibition "Humans need not apply" at the Science Gallery and created their own LED torches at a workshop in Makeshop. Read some more thoughts by some students:
On Monday during Computer Studies I enjoyed using the VR headset. It was fun and enjoyable for everyone and the experience was amazing. The celery piano was also very interesting and so was everything else. I feel Tech Week was a nice, fun and engaging week as we learned and played with some new tech and experienced something new. Jason Li (1st Year)
My favourite thing I did in Tech Week was scaring people when wearing VR. Peter Barry (2nd Year)
I liked the celery piano. I thought it was different and fun. I would have like a few more notes though. Jools Reilly (2nd Year)
I liked the VR. It was fun and I'd like to do it again. Conor Ryan (2nd Year)

I thought it was fantastic fun. It was quick and productive. My torch worked perfectly! Sonny Daly (TY)
I think that the work shop was great! As my first time for doing soldering that was a great experience and very fun. Leo Mazor (TY)
