Ms Kenny, Ms Finnegan and the 3rd Year CSPE class went to Swan Leisure in Rathmines on Wednesday, 21st March to complete a sponsored cycle by using their gym bikes for one hour.

On Thursday, 1st February, students from TY and 5th Year, not only visited the European Parliament but participated in the debates with students from all over Europe. The TY students had won a Euroscola prize with their video in November 2017. A video showing highlights of the day has been broadcast by Euroscola.

Friendship Week was held immediately after mid-term, from Monday 19th February through to Friday, 23rd February. There were lots of Friendship themed events throughout the week culminating in a Friendship Fair on the Friday where the National School pupils came over to the secondary school. Laura Kelly in TY helped out at the Friendship Fair and writes about the morning.

The TYs spent the week beginning Monday, 19th February participating in Law Week. A visiting barrister came to the school and they participated in a mock trial. They also visited the Criminal Courts of Justice to witness what it was like to sit in an actual court. A number of the TYs recount their experiences.

Congratulations to all the TY students and some of the 5th Years who along with Ms. Kenny and Ms. Gordon, voted on plenary and committee debates in the Chamber of the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Thursday, 1st February. The TYs had submitted a video in November which was deemed one of the Irish winners in the Euroscola competition.
