World Book Day Award 2016 - Stratford’s entry listed as ‘some of our other favourites’

NEWS / 4 March 2016

Congratulations to the TY Library prefects - Lara McGuinness, Gina Cohen, Julia Tatar Concado, Cormac Kelly and Ryan Baker! Their entry for the World Book Day Award 2016 was listed as 'some of our other favourites'. This competition is open to all primary and secondary schools in the UK and Ireland.

This is the second year of the World Book Day Award competition which is open to all primary and secondary schools in the UK and Ireland. The TY Library prefects were fired up to try win the first prize - £10,000 worth of book tokens and £10,000 of library furniture! The author, James Patterson, is the person behind this competition. Competition is tough, so for Stratford College to make the final list of 15 videos announced on Thursday, 3rd March (World Book Day) was a tremendous achievement. We were the only Irish school to make the list! So well done to Lara, Gina, Julia, Cormac and Ryan for all their work in making this video. It was shown at the 3rd Year assembly, earlier in the week of World Book Day. Now watch the video or check out the World Book Day 2016 blog!
