Who is the Real Loser in Music?
Today’s music is strange and often bizarre. No longer is it about what you hear or what the best song on the album is. No, it is about low cut tops and a even lower quality of talent.
Now not all music is like this; Michael Buble, Beyonce and Ellie Goulding can perhaps be classed as talented musicians who don’t require attention to their bodies to get famous. I’m talking about the likes of Miley Cyrus or Rihanna. Their music videos were frankly disgusting.
Please correct me, but I don’t think ‘Wrecking Ball’ or ‘Pour it up’ got 100s of millions of views because they were class songs. Rather that more flesh was seen. Girls around the world see this and believe this what they should look like. Ohh it is horrible!
Another kick in the snorkels to real talent is Simon Cowell’s proposed TV show ‘Is this Talent’. The judges, Georgia Salpa, Helen Flanagan and Rhian Sugden, may not be able to tell the difference between Rihanna and the Rolling Stones but their lad-mag images will surely make it a hit. They were employed for their attributes other than their ears. The next wave of talent could very well be worse than now. The real loser in music is talent.

In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.
