Congratulations to Mr. Conaghan who has been shortlisted for the 2015 CILIP Carnegie Medal and the Children's Books of Ireland Book of the Year Awards.

Mr. Conaghan, author and English teacher, has been shortlisted for the prestigious 2015 CILIP Carnegie Medal and the CBI Book of the Year Awards for his book 'When Mr. Dog Bites'. Mr. Conaghan writes for Bloomsbury Publishing, who also publish J.K. Rowling. See also BBC's Entertainment & Arts article on this year's Carnegie Medal shortlist, published on Tuesday, 17th March.

The Carnegie Medal winner will be announced on 22nd June 2015. The CBI Book of the Year winner will be announced in June 2015.

Mr. Conaghan also helped edit our book, '60 Years A Growing' to celebrate our Diamond Jubilee and launched our World Book Day book, 'Stratford College Writes', that we published in March 2013. Everyone in Stratford College wishes him the best of luck.

Stratford reach the 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals in RDS for the first time

Congratulations to 1st Year Computer Studies students - Yair, Liam and Giorgi - who made it to the ECO-UNESCO 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals held on 12th May with their Scratch coding project called "Giorgi the Litter Fighter". This is the first time that a Stratford project has made it to the finals - so very impressive work!
