Congratulations to Mr. Conaghan who has been shortlisted for the 2015 CILIP Carnegie Medal and the Children's Books of Ireland Book of the Year Awards.
Mr. Conaghan, author and English teacher, has been shortlisted for the prestigious 2015 CILIP Carnegie Medal and the CBI Book of the Year Awards for his book 'When Mr. Dog Bites'. The Carnegie Medal winner will be announced on 22nd June 2015. The CBI Book of the Year winner will be announced in June 2015.
Mr. Conaghan also helped edit our book, '60 Years A Growing' to celebrate our Diamond Jubilee and launched our World Book Day book, 'Stratford College Writes', that we published in March 2013. Everyone in Stratford College wishes him the best of luck.

As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.
