TY students to participate in immersive virtual event organised by Ibec and NAPD

The NAPD (National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals) are partnering with Ibec in order to create an insightful immersive virtual event for Transition Year students on Wednesday morning, 5th May.

Ibec are Irelands largest business representative body (www.ibec.ie) and they share our concern that Transition Year students have not had the optimal experience and access to the insight & learnings that normally form part of this important year in student life. With Covid restrictions these students have had limited exposure to the world of working.

On Wednesday, May 5th (approx. 9.30 am to 12.30 pm) Ibec have offered to host an immersive virtual event through a world-class 3D event platform. The aim is to provide all TY students across Ireland with insights about their future opportunities and different pathways and most importantly to motivate and inspire them as they move to the next stage of their education.

Whilst the agenda is still being created, it is envisaged that this will be business leaders, thought leaders, and influencers that will appeal to all students. In addition, an Expo zone will cover Industry Bodies, Educational Bodies, as well as corporate supporters. There will be incentives for students to explore through scavenger hunts for prizes.
