Over the course of a number of weeks during April and May, TY students are learning to sail at the Irish National Sailing Club, Dun Laoighaire.
During the first week of sailing we were shown how to rig a boat. The boats can hold three people at a time. Now we are able to rig the boats ourselves. We sail within Dun Laoighaire harbour. It was too windy for sailing on the second week, so we did kayaking instead. We played "water football" in the kayaks. It was a bit of craic. In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.
