Mr. Desmond and a group of TY students attended a spectacular cultural experience to celebrate the Chinese New Year on Wednesday, 20th February. Joy Malone (TY) explains in detail what they witnessed.

The Chinese New Year Gala was a very cultural experience to celebrate the Year of the Snake. Some of the TY class met outside the Convention Centre at half past six, on Wednesday, 20th February. The show began at 7 o'clock. The Chinese Ambassador kicked off the show. There were many different Chinese dancers and singers from all parts of China, but mainly from the Guangdong Province. There was a variety of different art performances including dance, vocal music, folk music, wushu, face-off and acrobatics. It was an unforgettable experience.
